Nest & Bird is an Australian online homewares store founded by Heidi Evans, a graphic designer and visual merchandiser with over 20 years experience in retail. Based on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria, we curate artisan homewares, original art, sustainable gifts and natural body products, sourced from independent Australian makers and women-led businesses who care as much about their craft as we do about ours.
This store is for people who are thoughtful about what they bring into their homes. Not necessarily minimalists or maximalists, just people who want the things around them to mean something. To have been made well, chosen carefully, and enjoyed for a long time.
I started Nest & Bird because too many homewares stores feel like they could be anywhere. This one couldn't be anywhere but here.
MEET HEIDI EVANS
Hi, I'm Heidi, the founder of Nest and Bird. I am based on the Mornington Peninsula, Australia with my husband and two young children. I’m a bit of a shopaholic with a fascination for the art and science of exceptional shopping experiences both on and offline.
Nest and Bird has been a long-held dream of mine, as I have worked in and around retail as a visual merchandiser and graphic designer for the past 20 years.
I believe that every home is full of stories and clues about the lives and personalities of its owners. My mission is to help you shape your environment in a way that mirrors your story and personality. This isn’t just a business to me; it’s a reflection of my love for family, creativity, and thoughtful design.
The warmth and authenticity found here are inspired by my children, who continually amaze and motivate me. My hope is that Nest and Bird encourages them, and others, to feather their nests with warmth and character and to pursue their dreams with confidence and creativity as they journey through life.
